It's 4:29pm and I'm wondering where you are at.
I've been waiting since yesterday, unthinking of
the trap that this could be for you and for me.
It's 4:30pm and I'm wondering where you are at
because you were supposed to be here at 4:00
and you're still not here and as a matter of fact
I believe you told me you liked blood red roses
so I brought some here for you and a camera
for all of the poses that we were going to pull.
It's 4:31pm and I'm wondering where you are at
the roses are beginning to wilt without water and
I think that so am I, although wilting not from lack
of water but more like lack of love. I guess it takes
some tact to ditch somebody like this, like you
did me. Now I begin to wonder how many more
or how many few you have done the exact same
to. How many times have you said that you're true?
It's 4:32pm and I'm wondering where you are at
I'm all alone here now and people pass me by
looking at me strangely and me being shy I
stare at the ground, looking up only to check my
watch and to see if you're here yet. I figured that
maybe I could wait half of an hour. Maybe you were
just running late. Maybe your stomach was sour
or you forgot to set your clock. Maybe, I tell
myself but I can't help but feel like I'm telling
myself lies and all I will get is burning Hell.
It's 4:33pm and I'm wondering where you are at
and why you would ever do something like this
to me. I watch the clouds gather together as
they gossip about the girl down below who has
never been kissed and never will be because the
boy of her dreams left her and her heart to rip
apart at the seams. And she's been left now
with only a shining blade and her thin wrists.
It's 4:34pm and I'm wondering where you are at
and I finally announce to myself that you're not
worth the trouble or the pain and I don't need
your opinion or your words to tell me I'm hot
I know who I am and I know who you're not
and that's enough for me to pick myself up.
It's 4:35pm and you're not going to show up
I should have known after it was one minute
past, but I won't make the same mistake again.
